As participants reported time after time, "location, location, location" had much to do with the record numbers of attendees at the Collegiate Sport Club Symposium, June 9-11, in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. The symposium attracted over 120 attendees, including 113 Students and Professionals from more than ninety different colleges/universities, eight representatives from six different National Governing Bodies, and twenty-six presenters offering sixteen different educational sessions.
Attendees' comments on the event included:
- "I liked how many of the sessions were very interactive and allowed for talk within the group."
- "Once again, the Symposium was TERRIFIC! Great location, great interaction, great socialization, definitely the best event of 2005!"

In addition to the educational sessions, the symposium committee planned an opening night beach party, with a picnic buffet by the pool overlooking the ocean, and activities such as beach volleyball, beach relays, and sand castle building contests. Participants received prizes of T-shirts and program incentives donated by attendees.
The Collegiate Sport Club Symposium is offered every other year, and will take place in June 2007 at an as yet undetermined site.
