Associate Member Cannon Design donates $20K to Hurricane Katrina victims

Cannon Design is pleased to announce that the firm has raised $20,000 in donations to assist in the "Red Cross Hurricane Relief Effort for Katrina" through the donations of its employees and a matching program sponsored by the firm. The firm has 700 employees working in 15 offices throughout North America.

The firm is also participating in the American Institute of Architects "Hurricane Response Exchange," a free Web site established as a resource for displaced victims and a means for architects to offer assistance to the relief efforts. The site allows employers to post career opportunities and architects to post resumes for employment. Cannon Design's Human Resources Department has posted firmwide career opportunities to reach out to displaced architects and will be reviewing the resume bank on a regular basis.
