NIRSA celebrates TUN accomplishments
As previously reported, in July 2005, InFocus Corporation of Wilsonville, OR, acquired The University Network (TUN) to enhance TUN's capabilities and offerings for on-campus communications. A number of key milestones have been achieved in the past five months:
- Migration to a new display configuration including a 40" high resolution LCD display, Mini Mac media player and enhanced software for new installations and display replacements.
- Expansion to 82 NIRSA campuses with 8 more coming on-board in the 4th quarter.
- Addition of four advertising sales people for securing ad revenue.
- Ten new advertisers including Close-Up Toothpaste, 1-800 Flowers, Norelco Shaving, Columbia Sportswear, Gillette, Elizabeth Arden and TBS Sports.
- Expanded support team for technical service (David Grantham), graphics design (Arick Elion) and customer service (Patrice Griffin).
- Initiation of on-campus surveys for assessment and improvement of TUN programming.
- Distribution of Q3 advertising revenue checks to NIRSA participants.
The above represents TUN's continued efforts to create a strong partnership with NIRSA and NIRSA Member campuses. TUN's continued success is keyed to content updating, especially the information provided for your department and campus events. As well, TUN is working to secure additional programming such as college sports updates, career tips, comedy clips, and public service news to make sure students continue to watch TUN.
Thank you for the continuous support and feedback on the TUN program. If you would like additional information on The University Network, please email Barry Brown, NIRSA's Marketing Director.
