Funding approved to explore National Registry implementation plan
During a teleconference meeting on November 1, NIRSA's Board of Directors unanimously authorized up to $15,000 from the Emergency & Initiative Fund to underwrite costs associated with hiring a consultant to provide an implementation plan for the Professional Registry for recreational sports professionals. The role of a consultant will be to examine and make recommendations on the following items: impact on NIRSA National Center staff, cost estimates, Professional Involvement Credits, extending Continuing Education Unit sessions to regional and state events, communications and marketing, implementation team, and a Registry Governing Board.
