RDG Planning & Design wins Workplace Environment Award
Associate Member honored for business practices that bring out the best in its employees
NIRSA Associate Member RDG Planning & Design is the recipient of the Greater Des Moines Partnership’s 2005/2006 Workplace Environment Award, large business category. Evaluated for specific business practices, RDG was chosen for their commitment, dedication and diligence in creating an employee-friendly work environment. RDG’s supportive and creative work environment is just one of the many facets of the company’s culture, where employees’ talents and aspirations are encouraged to shine. “We know it takes more than desks and chairs and office spaceit is the people filling that space who really make the environment,” says president Davis Sanders.
In Iowa, RDG Planning & Design has its stamp on higher education sports and recreation venues, with completed facilities like the new Football Practice Facility at Iowa State University, the Drake University Knapp Center, the Ron Schipper Fitness Center at Central College, and the University of Northern Iowa Wellness Recreation Center. Nationally, from its offices in Des Moines, RDG has designed athletic, recreation, and sport facilities for the University of Florida, University of Central Florida, Florida International University, University of Texas at Austin, Franklin & Marshall College, Hastings College, Milwaukee School of Engineering, University of Minnesota at Duluth, Northwestern University, Southern Methodist University, Slippery Rock University, and Montclair State University.
