Four-year campaign aims to see donations to NIRSA Foundation top $1 million

Matching Sponsor, 2006 Annual Conference

Since its inception in 1992, the NIRSA Foundation has raised $650,000 for the future of recreational sports. The goal of the $1 Million Milestone Campaign is to bring the total amount of money raised by the NIRSA Foundation beyond $1 million by December 2010.

Where will the money go? Right back to the Membership, as it always has. The Foundation uses the money it raises to:

• provide scholarships for Student and Professional Members to attend NIRSA Conferences and workshops
• support the Career Opportunities Center
• publish the Recreational Sports Journal

You can help the NIRSA Foundation reach its goal—our goal—in many ways, but there is a special opportunity to effectively double your individual contribution at the 2006 Annual Conference, April 4-8 in Louisville, Kentucky. The NIRSA Foundation is proud to have the United States Tennis Association (USTA) as a Matching Sponsor to help launch the $1 Million Milestone Campaign at the Conference. USTA will match the total of all contributions given at the 2006 Conference, up to a total of $15,000!

If you are not able to make the Conference this year, but still wish to contribute, please visit the Foundation website. Any amount is appreciated.

Contributors will be recognized in the Recreational Sports Directory and on the NIRSA Foundation website at the following Levels of Giving: (All gifts are cumulative throughout the campaign; as you give, you move up in category levels.)

• Leadership Level: $10,000+
• President's Level: $5,000
• Executive's Level: $2,500
• Director's Level: $1,000
• Gold Level: $500
• Silver Level: $250
• Bronze Level: $100
• Participant Level: $25

All gifts to the NIRSA Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization, are tax deductible.
