Call for Proposals: 2006 National Marketing Institute
Share your marketing knowledge with the rest of the collegiate rec sports world in San Antonio November 29 December 1
San Antonio captures the spirit of Texas and has always been an important crossroads and meeting place. What better location for NIRSA to hold its highly educational, instructive, motivating and fun 2006 National Marketing Institute (NMI)? It all takes place at the Historic Menger Hotel in downtown San Antonio November 29-December 1 (when the average high temperature is 67 degreesnot bad for a week after Thanksgiving).
The NMI is an excellent opportunity for both professionals and students to gain an expert perspective on the ins and outs of marketing their complex recreational programs and facilities and to gather the skills necessary for improving or starting an effective marketing program. Attendees will hear keynote speakers, sit in on assorted workshops and roundtables, learn from professionals in the field of rec sports and the corporate world, and network to gain a glimpse of marketing strategies and techniques that work. Presentations will address a variety of topics, including website critiquing, utilization of survey data to develop marketing initiatives, marketing to non-student members (including faculty/staff), the relation of new and emerging technologies in the field of marketing communications, and marketing plan assessment.
Attendees and presenters should check the website for the presentation proposal form, Institute updates, and soon-to-be-released online registration, schedule, and hotel information.
