Scott Goudeseune named president of the American Council on Exercise

Scott Goudeseune has been named president of the American Council on Exercise (ACE). Goudeseune has been with the organization since 2000 and has been the chief operating officer since July 2005. Goudeseune has more than 20 years of extensive operations, sales and marketing experience. During his tenure with the company, ACE has earned accreditation by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) and expanded key business relationships with leaders inside and outside the fitness industry.

“The American Council on Exercise is well-positioned to move to the next level in setting certification and continuing education standards for fitness professionals,” said Goudeseune. “I am extremely proud to be a part of such an incredible organization.”

Steve Rhodes named president of Paramount Fitness Corp.

Industry veteran Steve Rhodes has been promoted to the position of President of Paramount Fitness Corp., a NIRSA Associate Member since 1994. He has been with Paramount for the past 28 years and the Vice President of Sales and Marketing since 1987. Steve replaces Jim Trisler, who recently announced his retirement, effective June 30, after 26 years with the company. "I consider it a privilege to have been involved with a company of Paramount's history and contributions to the fitness community for my entire professional career,” said Rhodes. "To be involved in an industry that offers such positive healthy-lifestyle benefits is very rewarding, and I look forward to guiding Paramount towards continued growth and new product development."
