Two new Corporate Partners give big boost to $1 Million Milestone Campaign
Associate Members Sports Imports and Star Trac pledge $50,000 each, bringing the NIRSA Foundation closer to its 2010 goal
The NIRSA Foundation is very excited to welcome not one but two new Corporate Partners.
Sports Imports, the exclusive distributor of Senoh volleyball, badminton, and tennis net systems, and Star Trac, which offers a complete line of cardio equipment, have both recently agreed to contribute $50,000 over the next five years as Corporate Partners in support of the NIRSA Foundation's $1 Million Milestone Campaign.
Sports Imports will be designated the official volleyball, badminton, and tennis net system of the NIRSA Foundation, and Star Trac the Presenting Sponsor of the NIRSA Foundation Career Opportunities Center, for the term of the five-year partnership.
"NIRSA is grateful for the commitment these fine companies have demonstrated to our membership and to the goals of our association," said Dr. Kent J. Blumenthal, Executive Director of NIRSA and Member of the NIRSA Foundation Board of Directors.
The contributions bring the total amount of money that the NIRSA Foundation has raised since its inception in 1992 to $871,000. The goal of the $1 Million Milestone Campaign is to bring this amount beyond $1 million by December 2010.
"We are proud to support NIRSA," said Brad Underwood, president of Sports Imports. "We have a strong presence in recreation and intramural centers throughout the country and we are committed to the needs of these programs."
“Star Trac is honored to support the NIRSA Foundation," said Star Trac President Steven Nero. "We recognize that NIRSA is a valued organization within the education community, and Star Trac is proud to be affiliated with them.”
