RSJ Manuscript Central debuts
Recreational Sports Journal begins online manuscript submission and review capability
The day has finally arrived. On November 1, 2006, the NIRSA Recreational Sports Journal leaps further into the 21st century. Beginning on that date, author manuscript submission and editor reviews will all be conducted online. The editorial board, NIRSA, and the NIRSA Foundation have collaborated with publisher Human Kinetics and Manuscript Central to provide authors and editors the opportunity to conduct the submission and review process with a “paperless” environment. Although all authors and NIRSA Members will continue to receive a hard copy of the final product, no longer will submission and review be subject to untimely delays due to the seemingly unending process of mailing manuscripts, disks, revisions, and the like back and forth. It truly is a landmark moment in the history of the scholarly publication of our profession.
The process is fairly easy and convenient, and all the steps involved can be found here. Paul Milton, Assistant Professor at Ashland University, continues as the RSJ editor and is excited about this new process. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact him.
