NIRSA creates new Affiliate Status

NIRSA Affiliate organizations will expand opportunities available to NIRSA Members

The NIRSA Board of Directors has created an Affiliate Status to bestow on worthy organizations who meet certain eligibility criteria. Affiliation will further the respective and mutual goals of both organizations.

Among other criteria, applicants for Affiliate Status would:

• Demonstrate commitment to NIRSA’s Vision and Mission statements and Strategic Map
• Have identifiable issues related to collegiate recreational sports
• Offer potential value to NIRSA Members
• Not be applying for commercial gain or to increase membership in their organization

Affiliates would be expected to, among other things, offer discounted registration fees to NIRSA Members for education and training programs and be encouraged to assist NIRSA for research, presentations, etc.
