TUN hits the ground running following purchase by Submedia
Improvements, new features and new websites in the works
Many NIRSA Member Institutions take advantage of the communications program offered at no charge by TUN, The University Network. The following are just a few of the many progressive improvements underway since Submedia purchased TUN on December 1, 2006:
TUN is re-branding to be more attractive to the student audience.
New content focuses on student-relevant, student-created, artistic content, promoting young aspiring artists.
The focus in ad sales is shifting to branded entertainment instead of pure advertising entertainment is more relevant to the students and less invasive.
TUN is launching a local, student-managed ad sales program.
New software enhancements will allow users even more control over the screens and even broader access to creating more messages with less time involved. These new software enhancements will allow users to run many more messages per week. This launches in February.
New websites are being developed:
- TUN.com will become a showcase for student film and video.
- TUN-2.com will be what is now TUN.com - a place for user information, support, etc. TUN-2.com will also feature video interviews with directors from universities nationwide sharing stories and inspiring the students.
- TUN-tv.com will be the student-managed website for the local student-managed ad sales program.
- TUNads.com will be an online media kit for the ad sales team. This site will include video montages containing university messages and past advertisers.
Look for TUN at the 2007 Annual Conference & Recreational Sports Expo.
