Endorsement of American Council on Exercise (ACE) program ends
NIRSA pursuing other fitness-related opportunities for members
An endorsement agreement between NIRSA and the American Council on Exercise (ACE) programs has ended. NIRSA entered into a two-year endorsement agreement with ACE in 2004. The past agreement provided for ACE fitness-related study materials and certification exams to be promoted to NIRSA Members through the Association’s education and training sessions, advertisements, articles in NIRSA Know and eFASTNEWS, and via other activities. In exchange for these services, ACE agreed to avail NIRSA Members with discounted pricing for ACE products and to provide nominal revenue sharing payments to the NIRSA Services Corporation. NIRSA was interested in continuing the endorsement agreement, but was unable to convince ACE to extend it beyond the December 31, 2006 expiration date.
NIRSA is actively pursuing opportunities with other fitness-related organizations that might lead to discounted fitness training and certification programs for members. More information about these new opportunities will be forthcoming as it becomes available.
