Register online now for the NIRSA 2007 Collegiate Sport Club Symposium. Taking place June 13-15 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the Collegiate Sport Club Symposium is designed for those who administer a collegiate sport club program and those who would like to embark in this exciting and growing area in recreational sports. Attendees will learn about risk management for sport clubs, the NIRSA National Campus Championship Series events, long-term strategic planning for clubs, hazing and disciplinary concerns, budgets, and running effective sport club tournaments, and will meet representatives from National Governing Bodies. There will be a preconference tour of Miller Park (home of the Milwaukee Brewers) and the Pettit Ice Center, a U.S. Olympic Training Facility.

Tuesday, June 12, 2007: Tour of Miller Park and Pettit Center

From the outside, Miller Park (home of the Milwaukee Brewers) is a grand structure with its facade consisting of red brick, arched windows, and clock tower at the main entrance. Directly outside Miller Park are statues of Milwaukee icons, such as Hank Aaron. One of the most impressive aspects of Miller Park is the retractable roof. The 12,000 ton, seven-panel roof has a unique fan shape design. It can open or close in ten minutes and sits 175 feet above the playing field.

The Pettit National Ice Center is an official U.S. Olympic Training Facility, located in the heart of Southeastern Wisconsin. One of only a handful in the world, the 3,000-seat center houses one of the fastest 400-meter indoor speed skating ice ovals and two international size ice rinks used for hockey, figure skating, and short track speed skating.

The preconference tour is limited to 35 and the $16 fee includes transportation and snacks.
