NIRSA is pleased to welcome Ketty Herb-Kalberer as Director of Marketing, who began her duties at the NIRSA National Center on July 10. Ketty oversees the marketing department, which includes membership, website administration, and graphic design. She works with the marketing team members on membership initiatives, new programs, and the National Marketing Institute. Ketty also works closely with Bernie Freeman, President of HyperLife Marketing Group, on the sports marketing business partnership HyperLife has with the NIRSA Services Corporation.
Ketty brings to NIRSA extensive experience in both business and non-profit sectors. She has worked in the administration and on the board of various non-profits, and comes to NIRSA from Hewlett-Packard in Corvallis, Oregon, where most recently she was employed as a Senior Analyst.
Ketty completed her Masters in Business Administration from the University of Oregon in 2001 and started with Hewlett-Packard at that time. Her responsibilities included developing and monitoring the budget for a department with $25 million in annual expenses, developing manufacturing strategies involving over 5,000 people, and analyzing and projecting the profitability of the inkjet business worldwide.
Prior to starting her graduate degree at the University of Oregon, Ketty worked for several non-profit arts organizations. At the Anderson Ranch Arts Center in Snowmass Village, Colorado, she coordinated the Ranch’s major annual fundraiser, an art auction, and was the liaison between the artistic and administrative staff, serving as the staff member on the board committee that set and drove the long-term vision of the Ranch.
