Health & Wellness Passport program vouchers now available
Faculty and staff of participating institutions can begin visiting recreational facilities at other Passport schools
The NIRSA Health & Wellness Passport program, presented by Matrix and supported by NIRSA Insurance, is officially “open for business.”
The first phase of this new value-added program called for NIRSA Institutional Members to opt in as a Passport school. During the month of August, more than 40 institutions from 24 states and Canada took advantage of the opt-in offer. View the list of participating schools.
The second phase is now under way. Faculty and staff at these institutions can now request vouchers allowing them to access other participating schools’ recreational facilities for free. Interested individuals can obtain vouchers through their recreation department. Staff there will confirm their eligibility for the program benefits and then submit an online request form on their behalf. The individual will receive an email from NIRSA within two business days that they can then print and use as their “passport” for entry to the rec facility at the school they designated. Vouchers are good for 30 days, and are perfect for use when traveling or visiting another school. Host institutions (schools accepting Passport visitors) reserve the right to limit the use of their facilities by any individual to seven visits in a calendar year.
Has your school opted in? It’s not too late. NIRSA Member Institutions can opt in at any time, and there is no cost to do so. Once your school opts in, you’ll have access to an online toolkit and voucher request form. The toolkit includes several useful items to help you implement the program on your campus, including posters, staff training guide, and a program announcement.
