National Service Award categories streamlined
Nominate a deserving colleague by July 1
The NIRSA Board of Directors recently voted to condense the selection criteria for the National Service Award (NSA) from six categories to three categories based on recommendations from the NSA Committee. In so doing, the committee hopes to attract more people to nominate their colleagues for their outstanding service, and cut down on repetitive descriptions in the various criteria categories.
This award is provided as a means of recognizing the outstanding contributions of individual members to the National Intramural-Recreational Sports Association. The award is intended to acknowledge exceptional performance or dedication, to encourage creativity and innovation, and to establish a standard of excellence in professional achievement. Each year, up to six awards for Professional Members, and up to three for Student Members, are presented. Awards are given based upon the nomination criteria and need not reflect equal balance among all regions in the Association.
Online nomination forms are due July 1.
